Adequately trained for their work and made aware of any special hazards applying to the workplace involve

Adequately trained to deal with hazardous materials and chemicals

Aware of fire procedures for the relevant sites – sounds of alarms, marshalling areas after evacuation, location of extinguishers, emergency exit routes etc

Aware of the location of the First Aid box, which must always be available and where and how to obtain assistance if necessary

Are provided with adequate safety materials, ie. Gloves, overalls etc, required for the work in hand and that they are worn and safe work methods are used.

All equipment is checked and maintained by the Supervisors who carry out regular inspections. Particular attention is paid to electrical equipment. Any faults are reported immediately to the Manager for repair or replacement.
